Paragliding

This course consists of learning to perform your daily inspection of equipment, prefflight checks, inflate, control and inspect your paraglider while you are still on the ground.    This is followed by 10 short top to bottom gliding flights from the training sites in the Wicklow mountains.

All paragliding training and flying is totally weather dependent and as a result it is not possible to pick specific dates to start.   Once the booking form and deposit has been received you wiil be advised of the very next starting date.   The Para Pro1 course costs EUR 700 ( 100 deposit + 600 payable on the first morning of your course).    This course will take a minimum of 3 days to complete spread over trainable weekends.   Courses for 2010 start in March and all students need their own transport.

The months from May to August are best as you can take advantage of the longer daylight hours and sometimes continue training and flying until 9pm, working through the course in a shorter period of time.

All course fees must be paid in full on day one.
Anyone interested in taking a course must be 18 years or older.
All students must have their own transport
All students must be wearing a good pair of ankle support boots.
All students must attend training sessions on a regular basis.
A bad attendance record will result in your course being cancelled on safety grounds alone – with no refund given.

Layered wind proof comfortable clothing is best.
All students should bring plenty of food & drink.
A camera or small video is always a good idea.
