The Work Experience Programme
is designed for students, graduates and young professionals aged 20 years or over with an Upper Intermediate (B2) English level (we can send you a pre-test to establish your level). Work experience placements are arranged for periods of 4 weeks to 24 weeks. 4 weeks is the minimum period, 8 to 12 weeks work placement is preferable. All work is unpaid. Your hours of work and the tasks assigned to you will be the responsibility of the host company.

How much does it cost ?…. €400.00 to cover the cost of arranging your work placement. In addition to this placement fee you will also have the cost of your English language course & your accommodation.

Commencement Dates
This programme is available during the academic year (October to June). This programme is not available during the Summer season (July, August & September). You may arrive and start your English course on any Monday.
How to make your application:
Complete the school registration form. Or make application online.
Choose 3 areas (from the above listing) taking into account your education, training & experience.
Prepare a 1 page Curriculum Vitae in English detailing your education and work experience to date . (We will send this to the host companies)
Prepare a letter of application in English, this letter should briefly explain a little about you, your personality and what you hope to achieve in your future career . (We will send this to the host companies)
It will take approximately 6 weeks to arrange your work placement. While you are here in Ireland attending your English course you may be asked to attend some interviews for the work experience position as most host companies prefer to meet you before commencing your work placement. We will continue to provide accommodation during your work placement period, however please note your job may not be located close to the accommodation. You will travel to your place of work by public transport. We will be able to assist you with all the necessary arrangements. There is no refund for a cancellation made within 21 days of the commencement of a work placement.
